On Friday, August 1, 2025, I ordered the [upgraded] Fogco kit # 6025116 20′ Nylon Mist Kit With DD Pump which includes 10 nozzles (I upgraded to the finest mist: 0.006mm openings) and a Direct Drive Mist Pump .25 GPM .75HP 115V 10.6 FLA. I have been postponing installing a fog system since I built the greenhouse in 2019. When we had the 117 degree heat dome several years ago, I had the black super superfine FOGG-IT (not readily available) mist nozzle running off of a hose and that kept the greenhouse in the high 90s — a testament to fog cooling ability.

Given that the motor is .75HP, I was expecting something smaller. The motor/compressor is about twice the size I was expecting. It looks so solid and weighs 55 lbs!

Next step, read the Install Manual and install.
In the meantime, I succeeded in setting up a Zibgee mesh network where I can control the mains plug for this unit which is in the greenhouse. My plug is 3 hops away from the Zigbee USB controller on my Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant in the basement. I have a plug/router at the south end of our house, then a plug/router in the garage, and then the greenhouse plug connects to the garage plug. It looks like I’ll have to add a watertight plug.
